For this project, I chose to work by myself because I had a very specific idea of what I wanted to do. I think the most difficult part of this project was making sure that the frames lined up in a way that made the movements look smooth and natural. The other really hard part was syncing the music and the videos. Making sure I had the right amount of frames to get the movements exactly where I needed them was nearly impossible. If I could do something differently, I definitely would have taken the time to really consider how the different mediums looked together. Also, I would have taken more time to line up the frames. For the most part, I think the music video accurately conveys the story I wanted it to because I was able to follow my concept almost exactly. I do feel, however, that the overall quality of my art used in this piece was not what I hoped it would be, making the video look less professional than I wanted it to be. Bang-Yae Liu is an artist and director from Taipei, Taiwan. He owns and operates his own animation studio. The video clip below was a school project Liu created while he was attending the Savannah College of Art and Design, and it was awarded several prizes for its excellence. I loved his work because he gave the sticky notes personality and character. In other videos, the sticky notes actually take on a persona.I had several inspirations for this project. The first was just the picture itself. I have loved the filter and composition of the piece ever since I took it. Keeping with the somewhat cutsie peace signs I'm making and my pose, I decided to throw in some Rilakkuma bears. I am absolutely fascinated by mandalas, and I figured they would create an interesting background texture. I made the mandalas different sizes, colors, and opacities so they would appear like bubbles floating around me. I wanted the background to seem almost dynamic. The problems I came across were making sure that I had all of the layers separate and organized and knowing which layer I was working on at any given time.
